Many successful men as well as some women have been felled by one or many indiscreet affairs Often they claim sex addiction. There are those who refute the theory of sex addiction. Those critics attribute the lack of control to not taking responsibility for personal behavior and use addiction as an excuse. These people in high places certainly have opportunity for sexual encounters because of their positions, sometimes looks and celebrity. As for men, are they really sexually addicted or just in a position to have many women and take advantage of opportunity? In any case, the big question is why do they give in when faced with temptation, especially politicians who are in a much more morally precarious position?
Many times careers and family life are ruined. Some in high positions preach family values and then get caught in extra-marital affairs. Besides betraying family do they not care about losing the trust of the public? Do they not have a sense of danger? Have they never learned boundaries? Are they unable to reason, leaving themselves unable to project the consequences of rash actions? Perhaps it’s all of the above. I don’t know the answer, DO YOU?
